Project Overview
Project Details
VISION
As a part of Churchill Downs’ ongoing renovations leading up to the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby, Alpha was asked to enhance the technology infrastructure in the ultra-premium Triple Crown Room. The goal was to provide an unparalleled viewing experience for Churchill Downs’ highest-value guests.
EXPERIENCE
The Alpha team installed a 20-foot by 11-foot LED video wall with 1.9mm pixel pitch on the main wall of the space that could function as one large display or could be split into four separate zones to show multiple feeds from around the venue. Additionally, Alpha replaced the exisiting audio system and installed a QSC control system with a wall touch panel that allows staff to easily configure preset room controls with the touch of a button.
POSSIBLE
Alpha was able to tap into the VITEC IPTV system that had been installed during the renovation of the First Turn Club and allow additional displays in the common areas to be connected to the same IPTV system. This achieved the project’s objective of enabling guests to view track action from anywhere within the venue, enhancing the viewing experience.
